The Ideal Candidate:
* MUST have public practice experience. Preference will be given to those candidates who have Manager level or higher experience in a recognized accounting firm.
* MUST have excellent oral and written English skills
* Proven supervisory experience in leading 3 to 5 staff for a minimum of 2 years.
* Lead a team to meet corporate objectives with a goal of continuous improvement.
* Eye for detail and superb analytical skills.
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while producing a high-quality work on a consistent basis.
* A professional accounting designation is preferred but not necessary
Job Description:
Supervise a department of three accounting staff and, this position is responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial/managerial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis and written narratives, forecasting, cash/funds management, external audit, and internal controls. This position is also responsible for administrative functions including, payroll, records management, documentation of procedures & processes and the application of policies and the adherence to all government and taxation filing requirements.
You must meet all the qualifications to be considered for this position, in particular the public practice experience. Application must be received no later than March 5, 2010 and the position will start as soon as possible.
